UW Health announced on Wednesday that it donated $1 million to the Dane Workforce Housing Fund’s second round of investments, according to WMTV15. The fund aims to build local housing for Dane County workers, particularly those who make 50–80% of the county’s median income.

UW Health’s donation brings the fund closer to its goal of $10 million by February. The first funding round, also with a goal of $10 million, brought in $11 million and was used to build 747 new housing units. Fourteen investors donated. The second round of funding seeks to expand on this progress.
