UW Health and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin have reached an agreement to extend UW Health’s participation in Anthem’s provider network through July 1, as both organizations continue negotiations for a long-term contract, according to a press release.
The existing contract was originally set to expire in April. This extension ensures that Anthem health plan members can continue to receive in-network care at UW Health and its affiliated facilities at least through July 1.
Both Anthem and UW Health have expressed their commitment to securing a multiyear agreement that will maintain Anthem members’ access to UW Health services well into the future.
Anthem members with questions can reach out to Anthem’s Member Service Center via the Sydney Health app or by calling the number on their insurance card. UW Health patients with care-related concerns should contact their provider’s office.
