UW fined for mistreatment of research animals

The University of Wisconsin–Madison has been fined $74,000 for violations that resulted in harm to research animals from 2015–2019, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture reached a settlement with the university in April for the failures of staff and equipment that resulted in the violations.
