Faculty working in high-demand fields in Wisconsin universities could see a rise in pay, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
The UW Board of Regents approved a proposal to grant $27 million for market pay adjustments. It’s a move to attract and keep faculty in fields experiencing growth.
Some of those high-demand fields include agriculture, biomedical sciences, homeland security and thanatology, the scientific study of death.
The salary plan will now be reviewed by the Legislature’s employment relations committee in order for funds to be received.
