The University of Wisconsin–Madison has projected a $100 million loss due to the COVID-19 crisis as instruction has moved to online and the campus has emptied, according to a story from the Wisconsin State Journal.
The estimated loss is covering refunds of residence halls, dining plans, employee parking permits, and new expenses such as online instruction software licenses and cleaning services. The estimate does not include reimbursement of tuition and fees.
