There are four candidates under consideration for the role of University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire chancellor, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.
The new chancellor will replace former UW-Eau Claire leader Jim Schmidt, who left northwest Wisconsin to be president of James Madison University in Virginia.
Of the finalists, two have ties to the UW system. They will be invited to campus next week for public forums and to answer questions from students, faculty and staff.
Whoever is chosen will be the ninth chancellor of UW-Eau Claire.
The candidates include:
-
Matt Cecil, interim provost and senior vice chancellor for academic affairs at UW-Parkside;
-
Raj Dakshinamurthy, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at the University of Texas Permian Basin in Odessa, Texas;
