UW Credit Union vowed to raise its minimum wage to $15 in 2017, a decision that will affect 25% of its staff, or about 125 employees who currently earn a “Foundation Wage” of $12.60.
That wage will increase in September to $13.80 and then to $15 by September 2017.
The credit union established the Foundation Wage in 2009 as a promise to always provide employees a living wage, regardless of economic conditions.
