UW announces 3 VPs to be serving in interim status by September

The Universities of Wisconsin (UW) announced that all three of its vice presidents will be serving in interim status by this September, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

Sean Nelson, vice president for finance and administration, will retire, and also departing the UW system is Jeff Buhrandt, vice president for university relations.

Julie Gordon, UW’s associate vice president of finance of 14 years, will assume Nelson’s role beginning Sept. 9, while Chris Patton, UW–Platteville’s vice chancellor of administration and finance, will step into Buhrandt’s role on Sept. 1.

Johannes Britz, UW’s third vice president who oversees academic and student affairs, has been serving in an interim status since 2022 and is eligible to serve for roughly three years. There are no immediate plans to search for permanent successors.
