After nixing plans to bring an Amazon Pickup Point to the Red Gym on the UW–Madison campus, the UW and Amazon are now considering a bike rack area outside of Sellery Hall as a second option, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
Associated Students of Madison objected to the Red Gym, arguing the Amazon site would impede on space intended for minority students.
If the new plan is approved, the university stands to gain close to $1 million ($190,000 per year) over the next five years from Amazon. Construction could begin this summer and be ready by fall.
