USDA Under Secretary for Rural Development Dr. Basil Gooden arrived in the state of Wisconsin today. He was set to travel first to the village of New Glarus to announce water infrastructure funding and hear from local business owners the direct impact that water quality and capacity have on the success of their business and community.
Next was a stop in Darlington to view progress on a new state-of-the-art facility for the last county-owned hospital in the state, highlighting nearly $61 million in USDA investments and a partnership with Lafayette County that helped to build a new Memorial Hospital facility and address the health care needs of the surrounding area.
