U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany entered the Wisconsin governor’s race Tuesday, the Associated Press reports. Tiffany joins two other Republican candidates in the first open race in 16 years.
The other GOP candidates include businessman Bill Berrien and Washington County Executive Josh Schoemann.
In the past 36 years, gubernatorial candidates belonging to the same party as the president in a midterm election have lost every time, with the exception of Gov. Tony Evers in 2022.
