Madison nonprofit Urban Triage will host its annual Back to School Supply Giveaway on Sept. 15 from 2-6 p.m. at its 2312 S. Park St. location.
This is the third year Urban Triage has hosted the giveaway, each year assisting nearly 60 families in getting their children necessary school supplies.
Community members are encouraged to provide a donation at Monday’s event.
In addition, Urban Triage’s community agriculture program — in which volunteers plant, tend to and harvest produce at the Farley Center for Peace, Justice and Sustainability — reported a harvest of over 2,000 pounds of fresh produce so far this summer.
Produce is distributed every Thursday for free at the Urban Triage offices to community members in need. Each week, around 50 families are served by the program.
