Urban Triage will put on the Seen & Unseen event on March 3 to help educate the public about the ongoing housing crisis, especially among area youth.
“Seen & Unseen” will consist of four stops outside businesses on Capitol Square, representing the journey of someone experiencing homelessness as they work toward housing.
“Our hope is that this campaign gives people a glimpse into the immense struggles of overcoming homelessness,” Urban Triage founder and CEO Brandi Grayson said in a statement. “And that highlights the importance of supporting the programs in our community that help folks navigate an incredibly complicated system. Overcoming a situation like this is so much more than just providing a roof over someone’s head. They’ve endured real trauma along the way, and we need to be intentional about addressing all their needs — physical and mental.”
Speakers will be in attendance beginning at noon.
Gubernatorial candidate Francesca Hong, local alders, non–profit leaders and community members with lived experience of homelessness will all be in attendance.
Seen & Unseen is part of The Big Share 2026, an annual online day of giving hosted by Community Shares of Wisconsin, supporting over 80 local non-profits focused on social justice, environmental protection and community advocacy.
