Spectrum on Thursday awarded the Urban League of Greater Madison a $20,000 Spectrum Digital Education grant for its Tech Empowerment and Digital Literacy for Economic Growth projects. Spectrum Digital Education awarded $1.3 million to 66 organizations in 2024.
The Urban League of Greater Madison integrates digital literacy into workforce development and entrepreneurship initiatives. It equips participants with technical skills to obtain higher-paying jobs, launch and grow businesses, and secure financial stability. The digital education efforts teach community members basic computer skills, advanced software training, and online business tools.
This latest grant is the second Spectrum Digital Education Grant awarded to the Urban League of Greater Madison, bringing Spectrum’s total support for the organization to $55,000 over the past three years.
