Urban League announces Urban Cabaret 2023 benefiting the Black Business Hub

The Urban League of Greater Madison has announced its upcoming Urban Cabaret 2023. The event, returning following a three-year hiatus, will raise funds to support the Black Business Hub. It will take place Oct. 6 from 7–9:30 p.m.

The event will be held at the new Black Business Hub, located at 2352 S. Park St. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. for general ticket holders. Tickets are available online, and space is limited. Ticket purchases are matched dollar-for-dollar thanks to a challenge grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation.

The event will include:

  • World-class performances by Lord Yancyy and Christopher’s Project;
  • Magic with Matthew Teague;
  • Entrees prepared by Chefs Yusuf Bin-Rella, Oscar Villarreal, James Bloodsaw, and Kingsley Gobourne;
  • A premium cigar and bourbon tasting experience on the Hub’s rooftop patio from 6–7:30 p.m., featuring a panoramic view of the city, farm-raised organic charcuterie, hand-dipped chocolates, and live music. Doors open for the rooftop patio at 5:45.

The event is semiformal. There will be a cash bar from 7–9 p.m.

Attendees’ support may also be commemorated in a lasting manner, as all ticket purchases will be credited toward the cost of various personalized paver options beginning at $1,000 and major donor wall recognition starting at $10,000.
