A total of $45,000 in Spectrum Digital Education Grants will be given to the Urban League of Greater Madison and the organization 100 Black Men, according to a statement from the National Urban League. The Urban League will use the funds to enhance and support the Urban League of Greater Madison’s COVID-19 Workforce Recovery Initiative.
The program is designed to prepare community members in underserved neighborhoods with job readiness activities and advanced training and provide enhanced digital literacy through activities and classes. Spectrum has provided $55,000 to help further the Urban League of Greater Madison’s digital inclusion and literacy programs over two years of consecutive grants.
