Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway encourages Madison-area residents to buy locally this holiday season, supporting artists, crafters, and small businesses and ultimately the local economy, according to the city of Madison. Meghan Stern, Dane Buy Local Development Specialist, said eight out of 10 local businesses rely on a holiday sales boost.

Holiday Black Bazaar — Dec. 14 from 2–6 p.m. at the Orpheum Theater, 216 State St.;

Teen/Tween Winter Makers’ Market — Dec. 14 from 2:30–4 p.m at the Monroe Street Arts Center, 1732 W. Lawn Ave.;
