United Way of Dane County on Thursday announced Kim Sponem, president and CEO of Summit Credit Union, as chair of its upcoming 2025 Community Campaign, which will launch in August. Sponem is a United Way board member who has also served on the nonprofit’s Women and Wealth Building Delegation.
The organization also announced a number of 2024 milestones, including a total of 5,296 volunteers over the year, with 3,837 contributing through corporate and community engagements and 1,459 participating through volunteeryourtime.org.
Additionally, 55 local companies helped put together almost 40,000 ImPacks containing essentials for community members in need and creating over $132,000 in economic impact.
