The United Way of Dane County announced that enrollment for the HealthConnect Premium Assistance Program will begin on Nov. 1, 2022, and run through Jan. 15, 2023. The program is designed to help lower-income individuals and families who earn too much to qualify for BadgerCare purchase insurance through healthcare.gov. For guaranteed health insurance coverage beginning Jan. 1, 2023, residents must sign up by Dec. 15, 2022. Dane County residents who enroll in a silver healthcare.gov plan within that time, who are U.S. citizens or legal residents, and meet the income ranges, can be covered starting at the beginning of the new year. Income ranges for qualifying families are:Â
- Family of one: $13,590–$20,385 per year;Â
- Family of two: $18,310–$27,465 per year;Â
- Family of three: $23,030–$34,545 per year; andÂ
- Family of four: $27,750–$41,625 per year.Â
Income ranges for families of more than five are outlined on the program’s website.
