United Way of Dane County has rescheduled its Community Kickoff event, which will now take place on Monday, Sept. 18 at 2:30 p.m. at Breese Stevens Field. The event will include an afternoon of family-friendly volunteering, concessions, and a chance to sample all United Way has to offer.
Attendees can receive a free United Way T-shirt, participate in games and activities for prizes, and get involved creating 4,000 Paper Product ImPacks to be distributed to local families through United Way’s nonprofit partners. Paper products are rarely donated and always needed as food and nutrition assistance programs do not cover these essential items.
Menstrual hygiene product donations are also encouraged.
