A new five-year United Airlines labor contract will provide cabin crew workers with their first raises in nearly six years, the Associated Press reported.
Under the agreement, approved by flight attendants, the employees will receive a 31% raise to base pay by August.
“The contract will immediately change the lives of United flight attendants, especially our thousands of new hires who have been hired since the pandemic,” Ken Diaz, president of the United chapter of the Association of Flight Attendants, said in a statement.
