The state is extending the waiving of the work search requirement while collecting unemployment benefits as the state’s unemployment rate continues to decline, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal.
A 60-day extension to the COVID-19-related rule was approved by the Joint Committee for Review of Administrative Rules. The Department of Workforce Development traditionally requires recipients of unemployment benefits to show they are actively searching for a job.
