A set of new unemployment benefits are scheduled to be available to Wisconsinites after the latest round of federal COVID-19 relief was signed into law last week, according to a report from Wisconsin Public Radio. The relief includes an extension of enhanced unemployment benefits through Sept. 6 and increases the time recipients are eligible.

The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development is unable to give a timeline for when the new benefits will be available.
