Madison-based Understory, a startup that has developed hyper-local, ground-level weather data in real time, has secured a patent for its mechanical strain-based weather sensor, according to a release.
The patent is “a game-changer,” according to Understory CEO Alex Kubicek, and makes Understory the only company in the world deploying cost-effective weather technology in real time.
