UMB Financial Corp. is finalizing its acquisition of Wisconsin Bank & Trust, according to the Milwaukee Business Journal.
After acquiring Wisconsin Bank and Trust’s parent company, Heartland Financial USA, for $2 billion in January, UMB is taking over the dozen Wisconsin Bank & Trust offices across the state, including multiple in Greater Madison.
The bank is scheduled to complete its system conversion over the weekend of Oct. 10-13. Following that conversion, UMB will rebrand Wisconsin Bank & Trust’s branches under its banner during quarter four.
The acquisition doubles the company’s number of statewide employees from 200 to roughly 400.
