U.S., Switzerland reach trade deal to lower tariffs

A deal between the U.S. and Switzerland will lower tariffs to 15% from 39% imposed by President Donald Trump in July, according to a CNBC report.

Switzerland is an export-driven economy, and the tariffs took a heavy toll on its economy, cutting its growth forecast in 2026 because of U.S. duties on its industries.

The Swiss export watches, pharmaceuticals and precious metals, as well as chocolate and skincare products.
