Results of the 2014 U.S. Bank Small Business Annual Survey of more than 3,100 small businesses (including 200 in Wisconsin) during the first quarter showed some optimism in Wisconsin:

On business conditions in the state, 52% describe them as either fair or poor, while 48% say they’re either good, very good, or excellent.

On their businesses’ financial health, 71% of Wisconsin small business owners surveyed consider their businesses’ health as good, very good, or excellent.

Nearly nine in 10 expect revenue this year to be equal to or higher than last year, and they most often cite government planning, lower taxes, and the general small business atmosphere as reasons to feel good about doing business here.
