Bolstered by last season’s banner season, Nathan McGree, owner of Tyrol Basin, has added a lighted snow tube run to the Mount Horeb ski and snowboard area, according to a story in the Wisconsin State Journal. Tubers will also be able to warm up in a new 4,000-square-foot warming and concessions building before heading out again. McGree has also added a new conveyor system that will transport tubers back up the hill. The hill is expected to open on Dec. 1.
The winter of 2018-2019 brought plenty of snow and cold, and McGree hopes for more of the same this year, with two new ski hills and year-round activities that keep the 143-acre property open for hiking and events, as well.
