Two Madison companies receive Buy Local, Buy Wisconsin grants

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP) has named 14 recipients for its Buy Local, Buy Wisconsin grant programs, including two local organizations, according to a release from DATCP. REAP Food Group and Voss Organics will receive funding from the DATCP program designed to strengthen Wisconsin’s agriculture and food industries by helping farms and businesses more efficiently process, market, and distribute locally grown food products. DATCP received 37 funding requests totaling more than $1.3 million. The 14 projects chosen across the state total $300,000 in grants.
