As a result of Associated Banc-Corp’s $482 million acquisition of Brown Deer-based Bank Mutual, 36 bank branches will close around the state, including 28 current Bank Mutual locations and eight Associated Bank locations, according to the Milwaukee Business Journal.
In the Madison area, Bank Mutual branches at 6209 Century Ave. in Middleton and at 1 East Main St. in Madison will close and consolidate with nearby Associated Bank locations at 2420 Allen Blvd. in Middleton, and 828 E. Washington Ave. in Madison.
