The TruStage Foundation Inc., the philanthropic arm of TruStage, announced it invested $3.5 million in more than 65 nonprofit organizations and social impact projects across the organization’s geographic footprint during 2024. Most of those dollars went to organizations in Wisconsin and Iowa — the states with the largest share of TruStage employees.
Last year, the Foundation received more than 430 grant requests, representing a 120% increase in applications for aid compared to 2023. This comes after the Foundation saw a close to 30% jump in the number of applications for aid from 2022 to 2023.
In 2024, 53% of the dollars awarded (about $1.85 million) went to organizations focused on housing. Twenty-nine percent (about $1 million) went to organizations focused on education. The remaining dollars were distributed as part of emergency aid, TruStage’s annual employee match campaign, and dollars for doers, which provides financial donations or service grants to nonprofits based on the number of volunteer hours performed by employees.
The Foundation is currently accepting funding requests for 2025.
