Unionized workers at TruStage, formerly known as CUNA Mutual Group, have voted to return to work today after launching Madison’s largest strike in over a decade, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

Workers say the move follows an agreement with the company concerning remote work flexibility and job security; however, other issues regarding unfair labor practices alleged by the union remain unresolved. Joe Evica, chief steward of the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU) Local 39, has said this could cause another work stoppage in the next month.

Workers at TruStage have now gone 15 months without a contract. To resolve the dispute, the company is offering double-digit percentage pay increases, remote work options, monthly stipends for virtual employees, and the preservation of health benefits.

Further negotiations between the company and the union are set to take place on Tuesday and Friday.
