President Donald Trump has threatened eight NATO members who import U.S. goods with escalating tariffs, CNBC reports.

The threat to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Finland comes amid Trump’s insistence that he be able to purchase Greenland.

The tariffs would start at 10% on Feb. 1 and then jump to 25% on June 1.

Trump has mentioned using the U.S. military to take Greenland, and recently, European allies moved troops to the autonomous Danish territory.
