The Associated Press reported that Donald Trump’s administration began a trade investigation on Wednesday for new import taxes.
The move comes after the U.S. Supreme Court deemed Trump’s latest tariffs to be illegal.
Those who could be affected by the possible new import tax include China, the European Union, Singapore, Switzerland, Norway, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, South Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Mexico, Japan and India.
The administration said the law is a move to protect American jobs.
