Trump: CDC will no longer collect COVID-19 data

Hospital data related to the coronavirus pandemic in the U.S. will now be collected by a private technology firm, rather than the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), according to a story from the Associated Press.

The Trump administration says the change will speed up reporting but some public health leaders are concerned it will further sideline the agency.
