An Iran response to peace talks led President Donald Trump to post on social media that the response delivered was “TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!”

According to Iran’s state TV, as reported by the Associated Press, the leadership of the country rejected the U.S. proposal for peace, which called for opening the Strait of Hormuz and that Iran stop its nuclear weapons program.

Instead, Iran wants war reparations from the U.S. and full control of the strait.

On Friday, the U.S. attacked two Iran oil tankers as they tried to break the American blockade on Iran’s ports.

It all comes amidst a monthlong ceasefire that neither side has adhered to yet insists is in effect.

The war has harmed the world’s oil supply, driving the cost of oil, gasoline and jet fuel higher, while also driving up the cost of other items like fertilizer farms need, and leading businesses to take losses as people spend more at the pump and less elsewhere.
