The University of Wisconsin-Madison is among 45 universities nationwide under investigation by the Trump administration for partnership with The PhD Project, a nonprofit that aims to recruit more minority students into doctorate programs, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. The organization limits eligibility by race.

The investigation comes after a “Dear Colleague” letter in February decreeing that all universities that receive federal funding had two weeks to cut any programs or practices related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, or forfeit access to federal dollars.

Other large public universities and schools included in the investigation include the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and the University of Michigan. As of Friday at 4 p.m., UW-Madison had not received any direct communication from the Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights. Spokesperson John Lucas said the university will cooperate with any investigations.
