The Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce will host its IceBreaker event at the Kohl Center on April 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The speakers headlining the event include Omari Carter, a screendance (choreography created specifically to be filmed) pioneer and University of Wisconsin-Madison professor; Laila Edwards, a 2026 Olympic gold medalist, 2025 world champion and three-time NCAA champion Badger hockey player; and Nelly Kennedy, an executive consultant and co-CEO of Mākia Consulting who previously held C-suite and senior leadership positions at Volkswagen, Google and Condé Nast.
Over 850 business and community leaders will attend the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce’s event.
This year’s program will also include the release of the chamber’s 2026–2028 Advocacy Agenda, detailing the organization’s advocacy work for the next three years.
“The developments that will shape Greater Madison’s future have already been set in motion,” Chamber President Zach Brandon said in a statement. “We know the challenges of regions that failed to make the right investments at the right time. At this year’s IceBreaker, we will explore how the moves we make today can set our region up for success now and for decades to come.”
