Madison-based specialty food company Tribe 9 has agreed to purchase Carla’s Pasta for $26.3 million, according to a company release. Carla’s Pasta was acquired through a bankruptcy auction in Hartford County, Connecticut, where Carla’s is headquartered. The purchase is expected to close on April 30, pending final approval by the bankruptcy court. Tribe 9, which owns gluten-free pasta brand Taste Republic, plans to continue to operate the manufacturing facilities in Windsor, Connecticut, preserving production and employees’ jobs.
