Travel shutdowns during Iran war worth $11.7 trillion to world economy

CNBC reported that the global tourism industry is taking an estimated $11.7 trillion hit as far as the world’s economy goes.  

This is according to industry group World Travel & Tourism Council. 

Over a million people around the world were stranded because of airspace closures, and over 20,000 flights were grounded since Saturday, according to aviation data firm Cirium 

Some travelers are stuck on cruise ships.
