Delafield-based Town Bank has announced it will purchase 11 Wisconsin branches from Michigan-based Talmer Bank & Trust. Talmer, part of Talmer Bancorp, also operates in Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, and Ohio.
With seven locations, including in Madison, Town Bank will assume Talmer’s $350 million in deposits in the 11 newly acquired branches, but it will not buy its loans. Employees will keep their jobs at all affected locations, which include Albany, Burlington, Darlington, Genoa City, Kenosha, Lake Geneva, Monroe, Walworth, and Wind Lake. The deal is expected to be complete this fall.
