The Greater Madison Convention & Visitors Bureau has released its latest report on travel and tourism in Dane County. Compared to last year, $1.8 billion was spent in Dane County in 2013, a 7% increase compared to the previous year. The tourism industry supports 19,857 jobs in the county, which ranks second in the state for tourism expenditures, behind Milwaukee.
