Beer, wine, and liquor aficionados will have another place to shop next spring.
Maryland-based Total Wine & More is proposing a 23,146-square-foot store adjacent to a new Dave & Buster’s, where a larger Sears store once stood.
According to the Wisconsin State Journal, Total Wine has over 170 locations across 20 states, and a typical store carries 8,000 different wines, 2,500 varieties of beer, and 3,000 different spirits. If approved, the Madison store would be the third in the state, behind Brookfield and Greenfield.
The company is seeking a class B liquor license, which would allow for special events. The City Council and Alcohol License Review Committee still needs to weigh in.
