Luis and Lupita Montoto plan to open a tortilla factory and bakery in the former La Movida, WMLV-AM radio studio on South Park Street.
The Montotos started the Spanish-language radio station and later moved it to the Mid-West Family Broadcasting facility on the city’s west side.
Now, in addition to the radio station’s expanding business, Luis wants to open a tortilla factory to produce fresh flour and corn tortillas for retail customers and local restaurants.
The couple is currently seeking city approvals, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
