Madison’s Threshold Development Group and Threshold Builds proposed a four-story apartment building on South Park Street near the Fish Hatchery Road intersection, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
The structure, at 999 S. Park St., would feature a unique design with a mix of flat and barrel roofs and brick and metal sides. The site would also include two triangular patios facing South Park Street.
The building comes with an anticipated $13 million cost, though estimates from the development team are preliminary.
It would offer 50 apartments — including studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units — on its upper three floors and roughly 4,000 square feet of retail space on the first floor.
Apartments would be priced for households making roughly 80% of the area median income.
Plans also feature around 30 enclosed parking stalls, and another shared patio on the top floor would face the State Capitol and Lake Monona.
Threshold reportedly plans to submit its land use application to the city of Madison in late December.
