Atwood Avenue’s The Victory Cafe reopened last month after closing for almost a year to recover from an electrical fire in September 2024, Madison Magazine reports.

The east side space’s original interior was rebuilt to closely match its original design, and after nearly a month of resumed operation, proprietor Patrick Downey has the shop running at full capacity.

The cafe offers cold and hot sandwiches, coffee and a variety of other beverages, including smoothies, kombucha and floats.

The business is open Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
