A slew of changes are happening at the Sun Prairie Historical Museum, including being open by appointment only, The Star reported.
The Sun Prairie Historical Library & Museum Board has an interim operations plan in places that will make the museum open by appointment only after the museum’s only two full-time and one limited term employee resigned recently.
The museum had recently halted item collection amid funding questions.
Voters will make a decision in April on approving a $3.95 million referendum to continue providing city services. Its passage would allow Sun Prairie to permanently increase the property tax levy.
