The Center exceeds $450K match, works to raise final $3M pre-construction

The Center for Black Excellence and Culture has exceeded its $450,000 match, raising a total of $900,000. Over 215 individuals and companies donated toward the Center’s year-end goal. Mary Burke, Kevin and Sheila Conroy, and Exact Sciences provided the $450,000 community match.

The Center is moving ahead to raise its final $3 million and break ground in the early summer. Organizers are in the process of obtaining permits and approvals prior to construction.

The Center is also set to launch new program pilot projects for 2024.
