Community Shares of Wisconsin’s (CSW) one-day online giving fundraiser, the Big Share, raised more than $263,000 from more than 2,000 donors over a 24-hour period.
The second annual event involved 70 nonprofits, with the Wisconsin Council on Children and Families raising the most, $11,000.
The Madison Community Foundation (MCF) helped underwrite event costs and also matched the $14,000 worth of Big Share funds that CSW nonprofits added to their MCF-housed endowments, for a total of $28,000.
