Tech Council luncheon to center on higher education’s economic contributions

The Wisconsin Technology Council will host an Innovation Network Luncheon on April 15 in Eau Claire featuring five leaders in regional higher education who will discuss how their respective campuses are helping to bolster the economy.

From building a trained workforce to conducting research and development projects, and from forging industry partnerships to other forms of collaboration, the regions’ higher education pillars are engaged in the larger economy.

The event will be held at Chippewa Valley Technical College Energy Education Center, 4000 Campus Road, and include networking, lunch and the program.

Panelists are Sunem Beaton-Garcia, president of Chippewa Valley Technical College; John Chenoweth, chancellor of UW-River Falls; Katherine Frank, chancellor of UW-Stout; Jim Schmidt, chancellor of UW-Eau Claire; and John Will, president of Northwood Technical College.
